Our Birthday Dinner Date with Austin!

Trying to post these pictures was fun...I think I've finally figured out how to do it..maybe after I get better at that, I just might get a little more creative....I SAID MAYBE!!!

Before he tried the sushi..he was still smiling after too!

                                            Big 17!

                                         Chris and 'Auzzie'
Me and my first born..sure love him!

Austin Turns 17!

My not so little man, is now 17! I'm not liking the fact that time is going by so fast! He said to me the other day, "Do you realize mom, that I'll be leaving home next summer, off to college, then on my mission." I found myself tearing up all of the sudden! Believe me there have been a lot of days, that I wish that would happen already, but when it comes right down to it...this boy will be greatly missed, and a little peice of what makes me happy will be gone!
We celebrated by taking him to Happy Sumo for dinner..I told him he will not be a man until he has tried sushi! He actually did pretty good this time. He didn't gag on it, and spit it back out into his napkin! Little bit, by little bit, I'll have him hooked!

I look forward to the kids birthdays. #1 I get to out to dinner! #2 We get to have one on one time with them, I love it! We had a great time "listening" to Austin that night. Austin isn't a typical teenage boy either. Most parents get a grunt or a one word reply when they ask their sons a question...not me. Austin is an open book. He will talk to you until every "exaggerated" detail is explained, and then some...I LOVE IT!!!

He requested Tres Leches topped with fresh strawberries for his birthday cake...he started that favorite last year. (I'm glad he did, because I look forward to it now!) When he blew out his candles, with a little help from Will, I wondered what he wished for...sometimes I'd like to be a fly on the wall in his little brain.

Man I love this kid!

#5 Gets Baptized!

What a great day it was!  We had a lot of our family there to witness the baptism of Landon and Lyvia his cousin.  He turned 8 last month, but had to wait for Lyvia to turn 8!  He was very anxious and excited.  They were actually blessed on the same day too!  He said after it was over, "Mom I sure feel clean, it feels good!"  I spoke about the Holy Ghost along with my sister in law Alesha(Chris's sister, Lyvia's mom)spoke on baptism.  I wondered why I had volunteered to do such a thing at the very moment it was time for me to speak.  But the spirit was felt, and it was a good day!
Times like these cause me to reflect.  As I peddle through life as the  Roylance Crew mom, I get a little overwhelmed during moments like these, and it causes quite a bit of emotion.  Eight years ago I gave birth to #4 boy, 5th child, Landon Earl.   We call him our 1st last one...2 more after him :)   We gave him the middle name Earl after Chris's Grandpa Earl Williams.  Earl has always had a special place in our family...we loved this man!  He passed away this last December, and we still feel the sting of his death every day, we sure miss him!  Landon has the drive and independance his great grandfather Earl did.  He will try anything, and won't give up until he has succeeded in whatever it is he's set his mind to!  Since he's been a toddler he has been this way...in a way it has been my trial as his mother.  My job is a little overwhelming, when I think about steering this 'independant' child in the right direction!   He brings me joy, and I am so thankful he is part of my crew!

My cute little Man is growing up!

Lyvia with her sweet innocent face...Landon
with his infamous michevious smirk!  Classic!

It only took one time this go around!

Already to be baptized!

Trying to figure out this blog thing!

I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out a background for my 'blog.' Then trying to figure out how to get it on here. Well, I did it, but being the perfectionist I am, not likin it. I figure Iwill figure all this 'cutesy' stuff out eventually, and decided to start blogging. :)

Today, I got to sleep in because of spring break..yeah! I started my P90X program over today, after taking a week off...and it was pretty difficult. I was surprised it was so hard, I only took a week off geez! I feel so much better when I'm active, and eating the right foods. I've got a lot of energy, and can keep up with this crew of mine!

Yesterday was a day of fasting, and boy I had a lot to fast for. I felt good after the day was over, and felt peace that things were in the Lords hands, and I know whatever happens will be for my good. I just need to have faith. (Easier said than done)

Chandler turned 10! I made his cake on his birthday...he requested a 'baseball cake.' We ended up taking him out to dinner on his birthday instead, and figured we would celebrate with the family the next night. The cake sat, and time ticked by....finally a week later, and stale cake later we celebrated! He didn't want me to make a new cake, so we ate this one. He's my 'I'm grateful for anything kid' the cake was awful! But we all ate it and enjoyed the night!~
