We celebrated by taking him to Happy Sumo for dinner..I told him he will not be a man until he has tried sushi! He actually did pretty good this time. He didn't gag on it, and spit it back out into his napkin! Little bit, by little bit, I'll have him hooked!
I look forward to the kids birthdays. #1 I get to out to dinner! #2 We get to have one on one time with them, I love it! We had a great time "listening" to Austin that night. Austin isn't a typical teenage boy either. Most parents get a grunt or a one word reply when they ask their sons a question...not me. Austin is an open book. He will talk to you until every "exaggerated" detail is explained, and then some...I LOVE IT!!!
He requested Tres Leches topped with fresh strawberries for his birthday cake...he started that favorite last year. (I'm glad he did, because I look forward to it now!) When he blew out his candles, with a little help from Will, I wondered what he wished for...sometimes I'd like to be a fly on the wall in his little brain.
Man I love this kid!
